The Argus QC-2185 Quick Click 2MP digital camera offers all the basic features you need in a compact and stylish digital camera. This unit is easy to use, and is perfect for those who want a completely portable option for taking good pictures, without having to empty their wallet.

The Argus QC-2185 features a clear and bright 1.1-inch CSTN (color super-twist nematic) LCD display that makes it easy to frame the perfect picture. Thanks to its USB 1.1 connection compatibility, this digital camera lets you quickly download pictures to your Mac or PC, and can also function as a handy web camera. The QC-2185 includes eight megabytes of internal SDRAM memory, with the ability to expand camera memory via a built-in SD (安全數字) storage card slot for easy storage and transfer of your pictures. This unit also includes a built-in auto flash with a three to seven foot range, and comes with ArcSoft PhotoImpression's photo editing software which makes it easy for you to edit, crop, adjust and improve all your best pictures to make them even better.

The Argus QC-2185 digital camera's two-megapiXel CMOS sensor has a 1600 x 1200 resolution that is complemented by an f2.8 aperture with a shutter speed ranging from 0.2 至 1/5000 seconds. This compact digital camera features an automatic exposure control and white balance, a focus range of one meter to infinity, and a 10-second self timer. It uses the JPEG compression for still pictures, and lets you take short movie clips in AVI format. The QC-2185 runs on three AAA batteries, and requires; Windows OS 98 or higher, Pentium II 300 or AMD Athlon processors or higher, at least 32 MB of RAM and 125 MB of hard disk space, a CD-ROM drive, an available USB port, and a 24-bit color display or better in order to make use of its PC connectivity features. This is a great camera for the price... for an early elementry aged child. Old enough to be somewhat responsible and not drop constantly. Takes best pictures outdoors. Not so good inside. We added a memory card and some rechargeable batteries along with a padded camera case and are very pleased with the purchase. Resolution is good up to 4 X 6 print.

We purchased this camera for several children as christmas presents. It was easy enough to use out of the box for 7yr & older, however the menu system was a bit difficult to navigate and the more gadget-oriented kids fared a bit better. response from the kids was great, and it has several key advantages over slightly cheaper keychain type cameras. It supports an external memory card (統計), has a flash, and doesn't lose pictures if the batteries die or are removed. USB connection (with Windows XP) worked fine without needing to install any additional drivers. For less than $40 it was a great present, and picture quality is sufficient for most "snapshot" applications, and feature list is rich enough to allow kids to learn something about digital photgraphy. We have not tried the web-cam feature or recorded movies so do not know what the video quality is like.

I bought this for my 5 和 7 year olds after they broke their first, hand-me-down, 數碼相機 (that they loved for 2 weeks before repeated droppings took their toll and it died). This camera is a fine value for the price.

Here's how I'd describe the features:
- Very small preview screen
- Easy-to-use menu
- Easy to transfer images to computer
- Outdoor images are clear and pretty good quality
- Indoors images tend to be fuzzy (I think the shutter speed is just too slow to hold steady) -- it has a flash but at least for us works erratically and usually gives terrible washout/reddish coloring to images

I would recommend this 房間 if your kids are still at the age where they're not yet quite ready for the responsibility of caring for a $100+ camera. We bought a 1GB Kingston card (~$12 on Amaazon) which slots in easily (and can be re-used for the next camera if this one doesn't hang in there).

The user interface is clunky, but for simple pointing and shooting, it's great and cheap. No moving parts--dust doesn't mess it up. The pics are pretty sharp. The lcd display is small and dim in bright sun, but there's an optical viewfinder that's helpful. The optical viewfinder is has a much narrower field of view than the actual camera, so use it to center shots, not frame them. My hands shake, and I was surprised how little an issue it was. Pics of fire and fireworks in the dark did not come out well. The empty battery warning came on fairly early, but it kept right on shooting.

Our 8 year old bought this camera with her saved up money. She absolutely loves it! It is great for anyone that doesn't want to spend a lot of money on a digital camera. The pictures come out pretty good. We're very happy with it.
